CTSI’s Education core (CTSI-Ed) and the Department of Medicine have curated an online grant library available to University researchers in early July, 2019. The library houses grant applications, study protocols, and summary statements from applications that were successfully funded by the National Institute of Health. The library draws material from both current and former CTSI-funded Scholars as well as trainees and faculty in the Department of Medicine.
Streamlining the grant application process
CTSI-Ed and the Department of Medicine developed the grant library in efforts to streamline the grant application process and provide examples of successfully funded applications to more clinical and translational researchers.
“We wanted to document what works for applicants when applying for funding, and to provide a helpful resource for our scholars” CTSI-Ed staff explained. “After compiling this information, it made sense to make it available to other clinical and translational researchers across the University.”
Benefitting researchers across the University
University faculty and pre- and post-doctorate students writing research grants, as well as the staff supporting them, are now able to benefit from their colleagues’ experience with the grant-writing process.
CTSI-Ed and the Department of Medicine have contributed a combined total of ten grants and two study protocols to build the foundation of the grant library, with more on the way.
