The University of Minnesota is required by the NIH to ensure an acknowledgment of the Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) in any publications that result from UMN CTSI assistance with a project.
When to acknowledge CTSA support
Cite CTSI support on any publications that benefited from:
- Consultation or collaboration with CTSI faculty or staff.
- Funding received from CTSI.
- Author participation in career development programs.
- Use of tools and software such as StudyFinder, REDCap, and OnCore.

Coordinating public relations activities
Prior to issuing a press release related to CTSA-supported research, please notify the University of Minnesota's CTSI communications contact, Michelle Hoedeman, [email protected], who will notify the NIH award issuing center to coordinate media and publicity.
