Midwest Area Research Consortium for Health (MARCH)

The Midwest Area Research Consortium for Health (MARCH) offers investigators a streamlined infrastructure for undertaking studies that are better served collectively, at multiple sites.
Member institutions
MARCH combines seven regional Clinical Translational Science Award (CTSA) infrastructures and resources. Member institutions include University of Minnesota, University of Michigan, Indiana University, Mayo Clinic, Medical College of Wisconsin, The Ohio State University, and University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Examples of MARCH studies
The robust force of clinical investigators at MARCH sites makes it possible to test new therapeutic and preventive strategies in a larger number of patients far sooner than currently possible. MARCH collaborations include studies requiring ethnic diversity, demographic variety, and/or large sample sizes.
MARCH currently supports 14 multisite projects totaling more than $15 million in research funding with an additional 14 projects under development or pending a funding decision.
A focus on efficiency and effectiveness
MARCH is dedicated to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical trials. The collaborative group minimizes duplication, standardizes data capture and reporting, and improves multi-site study performance through best practice methodologies.
