Patrick Mann joins CTSI as Finance Manager

CTSI has announced the appointment of Patrick Mann, M.S., as CTSI Finance Manager.  Pat joins CTSI from the Academic Health Center’s Finance Department. Pat will start at CTSI on Tuesday, Sept. 1.

Pat brings 20 years of financial analyst experience, including 8 at the University of Minnesota. Most recently, Pat has served the Office of the Vice President for Health Sciences where he provided financial oversight for several AHC centers including the Institute for Health Informatics and BioNet. Prior to this, Pat was the Compliance Manager for the University’s Office for Internal Sales.

Prior to joining the University in 2007, Pat held progressive financial responsibilities at Smiths Medical MD, where he advanced from General Accountant to Senior Accountant to Forecast Analyst and worked at Medicus Systems Corporation as a Staff Accountant. He received a master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Minnesota.

Pat has extensive expertise in financial analysis, knowledge of University grant accounting and ISOs, and experience supervising staff members. 

As CTSI Finance Manager, Pat will hold a wide range of responsibilities related to financial management, analysis and reporting; oversee the grant management for the CTSA award (both UL1 and KL2) and the Center for Health Equity; provide financial management of ISOs; and manage team members.
