Angelica Koch, DrPH, has joined CTSI as Assistant Director of our Community Engagement to Advance Research and Community Health (CEARCH) team.
In this role, she’ll develop, lead, and sustain community-engaged research initiatives, programs, and activities, partner across CTSI to set CEARCH community-engaged health equity priorities, and work collaboratively with the CEARCH Management Council and CTSI staff and faculty.
Angelica comes to CTSI with over 20 years of public health leadership experience, with expertise in organizational leadership, innovative and equitable strategies, and program management.
Prior to joining CTSI, Angelica held a number of roles with the Minnesota Department of Health. Her most recent role there was as a planning director, where she directed statewide healthcare emergency preparedness projects, developed and facilitated key initiatives, led efforts to build sustainable collaboration models, and served as a lead responder during COVID-19.
She has also held leadership roles with SpeciaLysts, Applied Memetics, ImageTrend, and HealthFinders Collaborative. In addition, Angelica is an Adjunct Public Health Professor with the University of St. Thomas.
Angelica holds a doctorate of public health from the University of South Florida, a master’s of public health from A.T. Still University, and bachelor’s degree from Carleton College.
