Lillehei Clinical Research Unit and Masonic Clinical Research Unit to share space

The Lillehei Clinical Research Unit (LCRU) will be moving into the Masonic Clinical Research Unit (MCRU), a relocation triggered by the Medical School's renovation of the Variety Club Research Center (VCRC) building.

LCRU will move from the first floor of the VCRC to the second floor of the Masonic Memorial Building. MCRU and LCRU will share the space, with LCRU occupying the northern end of the floor.

To prepare for the transition, five rooms - rooms 244, 245, 246, 248, and 249 - will be unavailable after Dec. 20, 2013. These rooms will reopen as LCRU in mid-January 2014. All aspects of a research participant's experience - including the check-in desk location - will remain the same.

"We are committed to minimizing the impact of this change on investigators and participants," said Brenda Prich, RN, Clinical Manager for the Clinical and Translational Science Institute. "We appreciate researchers' cooperation and support as space adjustments are made."
