More OnCore clinical trial management system users can now capture visit-level data, thanks to the availability of electronic case report forms (eCRFs) across the Academic Health Center. OnCore eCRFs were previously only available to the Masonic Cancer Center.
eCRFs are associated with the calendar in OnCore, and can be assigned to specific visits. By using a single system for calendars, eCRFs, and a wide range of other functions, researchers can streamline data entry and improve consistency. Data from these forms can be exported to Excel and SAS at any point during a trial’s life cycle.
CTSI’s OnCore team will work with researchers to create and maintain eCRFs within OnCore, as part of its ongoing investment into the clinical trial management system. Researchers define the important data points to capture, while the OnCore team develops the forms within the system. It is recommended that eCRFs be incorporated at the beginning of a project, prior to enrolling participants.
Other data capture systems, such as REDCap, can still be used if desired. View a chart comparing REDCap and OnCore to determine which solution best fits your needs.
