Several departments adopt OnCore as part of CTSI effort to deploy the clinical trial management system across the AHC

The following Academic Health Center (AHC) departments have recently started using OnCore, with support from CTSI's OnCore team: Psychiatry, Medicine (remaining groups), Surgery, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Physical Medical Rehabilitation, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, and Family Medicine.

OnCore gives research teams a single, comprehensive system for managing a trial throughout its life cycle. With OnCore, research teams can manage studies and research participants, oversee financials, simplify data management, improve compliance, and more.

CTSI is deploying OnCore across the AHC as part of its overarching effort to create an integrated research infrastructure, and enhance the efficiency and quality of health research. CTSI's financial investment covers the system's upfront cost as well as staff and resources to provide transition assistance, training, and ongoing support.

Successfully completing the transition to OnCore also marks the beginning of these departments’ transition away from Time and Study Collection System (TASCS). Its research team members will now enter new studies into the OnCore clinical trial management system (CTMS).

If a study had previously been entered into TASCS, users can continue to use TASCS for that study’s post-award process. Additionally, if the TASCS study is in the pre-award phase then the study team may transfer the information to OnCore if desired.

CTSI’s OnCore team has made training available to faculty and staff at each included department, and will continue to provide training and support to anyone who needs it.
