Last week, research study cards became available for patients and visitors of the University of Minnesota Health Clinics and Surgery Center (CSC)—the newest aspect of the CTSI-led effort to integrate research into clinical care at the CSC—to ultimately increase study participation.
“We’re adding study cards to the CSC to better highlight research opportunities for our patients and visitors, and make it easier for them to connect with studies that need participants,” says University of Minnesota Physicians Chief Operating Officer Mary Johnson.
Research is embedded into the entire patient experience, from the StudyFinder Research Information bars located throughout the building to visitors’ interactions with staff and providers.
Helping participants discover research opportunities
Cards are roughly the size of a business card, and include a brief overview of select enrolling research studies along with contact information. They can be found at the StudyFinder Research Information areas on floors 1, 3, 4 and 5 of the CSC.
The CSC concierge team will work with CTSI to refill the card racks.
