Jenny Pham

Jenny Pham named program director of Biorepository and Laboratory Services

Jenny Pham, PhD, has joined CTSI as program director of Biorepository and Laboratory Services (BLS), an integrated biospecimen program that serves the University of Minnesota research community.

In this role, Dr. Pham oversees and strives to expand BioNet, the University of Minnesota’s biological procurement network. She’s also accountable for BLS’ biorepository facility and services ranging from histology to digital imaging. In addition, she’ll work closely with clinical partners to ensure services are effective and compliant.  

Prior to joining CTSI, Dr. Pham served as a strain curator for Joyn Bio, a joint venture founded by Bayer and Gingko Bioworks. There, she developed and implemented a bespoke centralized biorepository and ensured robust biorepository support of the company’s R&D efforts.

Dr. Pham completed her PhD in Biology at Harvard University, where she gained experience as a graduate researcher exploring the ecology and evolution of bacteriophages. During that time she mastered experimental techniques relevant to microbiology, molecular biology, and genomics. Dr. Pham received her bachelor’s degree at California State University, Long Beach.
