StudyFinder: Create a Healthier Future: Did you know?

Finding a study that fits

Every study has its own set of requirements for who can participate, called eligibility criteria. These requirements are different for every study, even ones that are researching the same condition or topic.  Some studies have broad eligibility criteria and others are very specific.

Eligibility requirements play an important role in helping keep participants safe and ensuring research results are accurate and meaningful.  It can be difficult to know whether you qualify for a study just by reading the title. StudyFinder tries to make this process easier by listing the requirements for every study on that study’s page.

Here’s an example of how someone might try to see if a study is right for them on StudyFinder:

Infographic illustrating Maria’s StudyFinder journey. After learning about StudyFinder from her doctor, Maria searches for depression studies, reviews study details and eligibility requirements, and emails a study team to ask whether she qualifies. The team will help determine whether the study is a good fit; if not, she can return to StudyFinder later to explore new opportunities.
