Tyler Winkelman, MD, MSc, is Division Director of General Internal Medicine and Co-Director of the Health, Homelessness, and Criminal Justice Lab at Hennepin Healthcare as well as an assistant professor in the Departments of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Winkelman studies the impact of health insurance and health care services for low-income individuals, particularly those with a history of criminal justice involvement. He is also interested in disorders that disproportionately impact justice-involved individuals like mental health and substance use disorders.
