Byron Vaughn, MD, MS
Medical Advisor, Clinical Translational Research Services (CTRS)
Dr. Byron Vaughn advises and collaborates with CTRS function leaders to refine policies and processes, while also consulting with investigators on how best to engage with CTSI. He collaborates closely with CTSI’s Recruitment Program and Regulatory Specialist function.
Dr. Vaughn is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition. His research focuses on developing microbiota therapeutics for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), and he is actively involved in clinical and translational research for patients with IBD. Dr. Vaughn is a graduate of CTSI’s Pre-K Discovery Scholar program.
