The Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) has released a new training module to help orient University of Minnesota research professionals to the U’s research policies.
The module — called UMN Human Research Policies — is available on the U’s Training Hub website. All research team members involved in human research studies are encouraged to complete it.
Training: UMN Human Research Policies
Replaces previous policy training
The training replaces the "University of Minnesota and Fairview Research Policies” training module, which was retired in February. The new training has been re-focused on University of Minnesota policies that directly govern the conduct of human research. It features the most up-to-date policies and links to additional information.
Now part of research staff training programs
The new training module has been incorporated into two CTSI training programs for research staff:
- Foundations for Research Professionals, a live virtual training program for research professionals who are new to research or new to UMN. It is offered six times a year.
- Essentials for Regulatory Specialists, a live virtual workshop for UMN research professionals new to a regulatory role in human research studies. It is offered twice a year.
